October 27, 2020
Famous Missourians
Due to the coronovirus dismissal last spring, the 3rd Grade class was not able to present on the famous Missourians that they had spent a lot of time researching.  They voted as a class to put off the presentations until we were back in school in the fall.  On Tuesday, they were finally able to present their projects to parents, students and staff.  Many of them even dressed as the Missourian that they selected for their project.  They did a great job and we are very proud of their hard work.
Well done, Eagles!

Capital Arts 2020 Chalk Art Competition
Group Category Winner
Chalk Art Drawing
On September 12, several JHS students and their teacher, Mrs. Makayla Howard, submitted a piece of art to the annual Capital Arts Chalk Art Competition.  They entered their 3x5 drawing in the "Group" category.  Using pastel chalk, the group chose to draw a sugar skull due to its difficulty and detail.  The challenging choice paid off as they were awarded with 1st place in their category.
Congratulations and well done, Eagles!
