Jamestown Students, Parents and Patrons,

Indoor extra-curricular activities are scheduled to begin next week. In preparation for a successful sports season, the District is asking for your support to ensure a safe environment for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. The following guidelines have been established for all events hosted in the Jamestown School gymnasium, including the use of the cafeteria and indoor concessions stand:

    1.    Please do not attend any events if you are sick or generally not feeling well.
    2.    Social distancing while in the gym, with the exception from immediate family members, is expected. In the event social distancing is not possible, face coverings are highly recommended.
    3.    Designated seating for both visitors and home spectators is clearly posted in the gym.
    4.    Hand sanitizing stations will be available in the cafeteria, entrance, and in the lobby.
    5.    Restrooms will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized immediately prior to the event and following the event.
    6.    Children attending the game should stay with their family in the bleachers and are not allowed to play in the lobby or hallways during activities or sporting events. This will help limit the number of people in the lobby and hallways and allow for better social distancing.
    7.    To provide custodial staff ample time to sanitize the building prior to the following school day, everyone should exit the building as soon as possible after the end of the event.
    8.    Limited concessions will be available during the junior high basketball season. Additional items will be added when the junior varsity and varsity season begin. Social distancing while in the cafeteria is expected.

The Jamestown School staff and administration are focused on maintaining the safety of our students and community while providing in-person instruction at school on a daily basis. We also want our students to have the opportunity to participate and compete in both athletic and academic competitions. Thank you for your support in adhering to these guidelines.

Sincerely,
Jake Watson, Building Principal
EH Hirschvogel, Athletic Director
Gretchen Guitard, Superintendent
