Dear Jamestown Parents, Students, and Patrons,

As shared with you previously, multiple district employees and students have recently been tested for the COVID-19 virus. We were notified this morning that a district employee has tested positive for COVID-19. The Moniteau County Health Department has been provided with the information they have requested to complete their contact tracing for close contacts to this individual. We will notify the appropriate families of the results as soon as the investigation is complete.

Because the District is waiting for other test results, the decision has been made to continue with virtual instruction through Friday, November 6. Scheduled Google Meets will begin tomorrow, Thursday, November 5. Secondary students (6th - 12th) will have scheduled Google Meetings on odd numbered days (Thursday, November 5 will be their first day). Elementary students (K - 5th) will have scheduled Google Meetings on even numbered days (Friday, November 6 will be their first day). In the event our closure continues beyond Friday, this schedule will remain in place. Classroom assignments on alternating school days will be released at the beginning of each class period. Please refer to the Virtual Learning Plan document (attached) if you have any questions. In the event your student needs to pick up textbooks or other materials, contact Nicole Coonce at cooncen@jamestown.k12.mo.us.

Meal delivery will continue throughout the closure. If you would like your child/children to be added to the meal delivery route, please email Mr. Watson at watsonj@jamestown.k12.mo.us.

In light of the current situation, both the Veterans’ Assembly and the Junior Class BBQ have been postponed. Details will be provided of alternate plans at a later date.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you again for your support.

Sincerely,

Gretchen Guitard
